Six Month Pre-existing Condition Rider: (Available only if the insured's destination is Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, or Massachusetts)
The six Months Pre-Existing Condition Rider is available for those individuals whose destination is the United States, to the states of Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, or Massachusetts only. The rider will replace the 12 month pre-exixting condition waiting period with a six month pre-existing condition waiting period. If this rider is selected, a 10 month waiting period on Maternity will apply.

Liaison Student Insurance shall pay up to $500 subject to the chosen Deductible and Coinsurance, for Covered Expenses resulting from a sudden, unexpected recurrence of a Pre-Existing Condition while traveling outside the United States.

A pre-existing condition is generally defined as any injury or illness which, within the 180 days prior to the effective date of coverage,
manifested itself, exhibited symptoms, or required medical treatment or medication, or for which a physician was consulted.
